Jr. Wolverine Tournament...

The Jr. Wolverine WC would like to appoligize to all the wrestlers, families and expecially the Novice wrestlers.
I will not come on here and make excuses. There are no excuses!

We made some mistakes.

This was our fourth year and prior to this disaster, we has an excellent track record for our meets.
You would never had know it by the way things went.
I personally feel for everyone of you who are angry and upset.
It would have been easy to let the meet be shut down and have everyone upset and angry. Novice and open.

We made a decision- not a popular one. Stop and delay Novice and run through the open.
The Novice did start back up @ 3:10PM. The last match was done approximately 6:30 PM.
We are not perfect and have never claimed to be.

We felt it was in the best interest of wrestling to somehow salvage the meet. We did. It was not fun or pretty for all involvedIncluding us.
If it helps let it out...I am bewildered and bothered beyond belief.
I have been involved in wrestling since 1969 first as one of these little Novice, last @ Michigan State in 1984 and still now with the Jr. Wolverine Wrestling program.

I have learned a lot over the years. I have been very humbled by this past meet.
and trust me it does shake my foundation.
We did the best we could with a real bad situation.
I again apoligize and look to learn from my mistakes.
